Girl Talk. It's what we do best. The eight of us have grown together because of it and now we are here to share it with you.
As girls, we know about first kisses, cramps, and split ends. We've cried for no good reason at all and bought that 'cute' item we will never wear. We've stabbed our dates with the boutonniere pin, and shamelessly polished off the whole gallon of ice-cream.
As cousins, we know about the importance of family. We've cried about each person's challenges and laughed over their stupid mistakes. We've Facebook stalked our crushes together and planned our weddings together. We've even been known to steal clothing from one another now and again.
As Mormons, we've learned to love the Lord together. We know how to make a testimony meeting end in tears and we can't go to sleep without reading our scriptures. We know the secrets of surviving girls camp and we can explain acronyms like YCL, EFY, and FHE. We sing songs about sailing princesses, cider mishaps that turn into large families, and animals in pairs leaving the 'muddy muddy' for their 'arky arky' shelter. We even have a favorite family jello recipe. If that isn't stereotypical Mormon, I don't know what is.
We hope this blog will communicate some of the joy we feel being mormon girls from every stage of life. We will defend our family, our religion, and our womanhood at all costs and we hope this blog will keep us laughing as we do it. Welcome to Girl Talk.
